Hi All
Those of you who have been here before will know that this is my first month or so into Internet marketing. I have mentioned (as if it were not glaringly obvious) that my technical skills and basic computer knowledge are almost zilch.
But I have just taken some time to review things.
I have been very lucky to have started with one of the best mentors in the business and am a member of the Marketing with Alex Forum.
From day one Alex advocated taking action… something I can relate to as I have run my own business offline for some time.
So I did just that and produced a blog after much trauma.
The blog had the default theme on it for the first week and had to be restarted by hostgator ( they wiped the slate clean as it were) twice!! as I fumbled about deleting files in filezilla .
Meanwhile I watched with increasing despair as my fellow students were forging ahead with blogs containing all the bells and whistles, affiliate links…. videos… special headers etc etc
I think it is fair to say that a number of visitors to this page have felt the same way in the early days of their online experience. Others have been very kind in their comments, all have been there
BUT…..I have just realised how far I have come in just a few short weeks….. Just by taking stock of where I am now.
Every day I inch slowly towards understanding how the system works what things are…. where they go and how to install them, at least to some degree.
You could look at this like driving a motor car …. A few weeks ago I had no idea how to drive, never had a lesson, didn’t know what the gearbox was or where it could be found , and was clueless as to what it is for anyway… my ignorance of my virtual Internet motor car was almost complete
Now I have had my first driving lesson and I have changed gears turned a few corners. Without doubt I am one of those really annoying learner drivers blocking up traffic (to myself in this case).
I am looking at other drivers ( I am grateful to them for being so helpful and patient) most are so confident.
Some are downright superb formula one types raking in a fortune…… other’s are professional lorry drivers, earning a living…… the vast majority are just everyday commuters, with varying degrees of competence.
But I have taken one small step for me….. unfortunately I will need to take a zillion more to make it any kind of giant leap.
The point is each small step counts …..listen to this
Hopefully in a few short months …. who knows.…
Right now though I think it is time to celebrate with a tune from Human Evolution called
One Small Step For Man….
I’ll just have to work out how to sort out the sexy bookmark plugin WHOOPS
You keep putting things off and saying things like “well I’m busy today so I’ll start tomorrow” but the problem is that ‘tomorrow’ never comes does it?
Hi Mike

Hi Orla
Thanks for dropping by, I think I have sorted that out but I am never sure if I have done it right, but onwards and upwards

Hey Vince,
We need to do our self a great big favor and not look towards building a mountain, but instead moving one stone at a time.
Patience is a virtue and when that is accompanied with sheer will, determination, and perseverance, mountains are made.
The only direction is forward.
Later,
Mike

Hey Vince,
I love the sexy bookmark plugin, it’s….sexy ha ha.
I also loved the blog post, not quite sure what type of “driver” I am online, but offline I zip about like a maniac, always rushing around and in a hurry to get places.
You have taken the first few steps, next will be walking pace, then I bet it wont be long until your running… your own successful online business.

Hi Onibalusi
You are so right success comes in many forms and it is up to the individual to know when it has arrived. It is not just a financial thing
All the best
Vince
I’m really enjoying seeing this blog expand, I’ve noticed all the extra content being placed and I must say you are learning very quickly.
Well done, keep it up.

Jake´s last blog ..How Can You Make Money Online?
Hi Jake
thanks for that, I am also looking forward to your success
Love how you’re keeping it real on here, Vince. Transparency is a gift in blogging. Truly, more people can relate to stumbles and fumbles than to perfection. You’re going to be great at this.

Hi Jean
Thank you for the words of encouragement I have been on you blog most of the day it is a big help and contains a massive amount of information
Nice One! Every one has to start somewhere, and taking the first step isn’t easy because actually getting started is always the hardest bit, you keep putting things off and saying things like “well I’m busy today so I’ll start tomorrow” but the problem is that ‘tomorrow’ never comes does it?
People that START will go places and get to where they want to be if they plan the journey well. If you’re not very good with a map it’s always good to follow someone who knows the way, then when you’ve learnt the way you can show others.
Hi Suzie
thanks for dropping by again. Judging by your recent success with your proerty finding you are well on your way
